Bridal Attendant Duties
One of the things that brides don’t necessarily realize is
how busy wedding days are. People have a general idea of what happens on the
day of, but there are so many details that go into a wedding that having an
extra set of hands would definitely help calm and ease the bride. Having a bridal attendant could be one of the
best tips that I could share with you. If your wedding venue doesn’t have one,
I would suggest to hire one for the day. They will shadow you all day and could
run all of your extra errands, like to buy food, serve drinks, run to your
house to pick up your wedding vows that you forgot, etc., while you and your
ladies get ready for the day.
Let me share with you a list of what the responsibilities
are for bridal attendants:
1.
They’ll prepare a wedding emergency kit for you
(lip gloss, safety pins, hair pins, perfume, band aids, needle and thread,
pantyhose, etc.).
2.
Like I mentioned a while ago, they’ll run your last-minute
wedding errands, whatever they may be.
3.
They’ll keep you fed and hydrated.
4.
They will help you keep track of your wedding
day schedule and help be coordinated with all of your vendors, including your
wedding planner.
5.
They’ll help with transporting items from the
church to reception site if needed.
6.
They’ll help put out decorations, keep track of
all of them and gather them at the end of the night.
7.
They will take care of last minute emergencies that
could happen on the day of your wedding.
8.
They will collect gifts and cards for safe
keeping and help you bring them to your house.
9.
They will help clean the reception site to make
sure that nothing was left behind.
Although your bridesmaids, wedding coordinator and family are
at your beck and call, you might want to consider having one. This will help
relieve any last-minute stressors you may have during the day and would be able
to let your bridal party and family have fun during your wedding day too. This,
I assure you, would lessen the chances of you becoming a bridezilla on your
wedding day!
