Last Minute Halloween Party Theme Ideas
SOMETHING WICKED IS COMING THIS WAY! PART 2
I
can’t believe Halloween is a week away! It’s such a great excuse to hang out
with your friends in crazy costumes and spooky décor. But if you’re like me
where procrastinating is in your DNA and you’re stuck with planning a last-minute
Halloween party, you should stick around. The only thing that I anticipate and
plan for almost a whole year is Halloween.
I know throwing a party can be frightening and if you don’t
plan it properly, it can scare your money away as well. Like I said in my
previous blog, thinking of a theme would be beneficial because it could keep
you in check versus mindlessly buying Halloween décor just because it was
eye-catching. Here are some themes and tips to hopefully help you with your
last-minute planning:
1.
Ghost Theme
This one is probably the
easiest (and possibly cheapest) one of all themes. Your color scheme is simple
which is just black and white. Although store shelves for Halloween décor may
be emptying out, you can check out the regular party isle and still find
everything you need. You can make ghosts with as simple as balloons, cheesecloth,
and a black marker. Decorate with household items like white bedsheets and
black paper (for the ghost’s eyes) or some string and white facial tissue. If
you need more ideas for this theme, check out my previous blog, GHOSTLE
DECORATIONS.
2.
Blood and Gore
Theme
This one’s one of my
favorites because.. well... what’s Halloween without the scary things in life? A.k.a.
blood. You can find fake blood anywhere and all you have to think about in
regard to this is slasher movies like Nightmare
on Elm Street and Halloween. Find
faux chains, saws, knives. Anything that’s related to murder would be a good
idea for this one.
3.
Color Theme
If
you want to have a simple yet coordinated Halloween party, going for a certain
color theme like black, white and another color would be a great idea. Here are
some colors that you could easily put together:
Black, green and purple
Red, black and white
Orange, black and white
Gold and black
Gray, black and white
With doing this theme,
finding décor would be almost brainless. Party stores like The Party Shop or
Party City have isles and isles of party items that are also arranged by color
so that would make your life hella easy! Don’t forget to hit up the dollar
stores because they always come out with fun décor that are CHEAP and they
always have black food ware and some party supplies like table covers,
streamers, napkins, balloons, gift bags, etc.
There are so many themes
that you can choose from, really, but I hope this was helpful. Let me know if
it worked out for you. Send me some pictures on my Twitter, ernestineevents, or share it on
my Facebook page, ESanchez
Events and Designs. I would love to hear from you!
