Make Your Own Boho Banner
When
it comes to parties, decorations play a big role by setting the mood. Choosing
a witty banner for the party is key to catching people's attention but making a
banner that’s out of the ordinary will be the talk of the town.
Here’s
how to make a bohemian inspired banner with an old hula hoop, burlap, ribbons,
your choice of flowers and greens, and some paper and string:
1. Wrap your hula hoop with
burlap.
2. Cut the ribbon to
different lengths and make as much as you want to fill up the bottom part of
your hoop. I made a total of a hundred and bunched them up in groups of five
before I looped them around the hoop.
3. Think of what you’d like
to say in your banner and print the letters you’ll need. I found mine on
somethingturqoise.com. They have a variety of options for designs and ideas.
For
the one that I used, here’s the link to it:
4. Cut your letters up,
string it through and tie it to your hula hoop. I also found some beaded ribbon
that I looped through the string that acted as a marker between words.
5. For the topper of the
boho banner, you can use either fake or real flowers. Arrange your greens and
flowers on the floor first then bunch them together using floral wire. Position
it on top of the hula hoop then secure with more floral wire.
OPTIONAL: add golden
bells to the hula hoop to give it more of a gypsy feel.
Hope you enjoyed this one! Happy crafting!
